Unlike ordinary snoring, OSA represents a significant health risk with symptoms including gasping, excessive daytime sleepiness, and morning headaches.

Maintaining a healthy weight, sleeping on your side, and treating nasal congestion promptly can significantly decrease snoring intensity. When lifestyle changes aren't enough, medical treatments including laser-assisted procedures and palatal implants may be considered.
